"Matching the results of the previous edition will be a challenge, as auctions are always unpredictable. However, the quality of these foals is second to none," Luk Van Puymbroeck says enthusiastically. "They all boast fantastic conformation and descend from exceptionally strong damlines."

During the previous auction on June 13, Flanders Foal Auction set a new record with an impressive average price of €39,400 per foal. The absolute highlight was Joppe AR Z (J-Nius V.V. Z), who changed hands for €386,000—just shy of the all-time record of €402,000 paid last year for C-Bra Van Het Bokt.

Another eye-catching Appaloosa color

Just like during June's record-breaking auction, a strikingly colored foal is bound to steal the spotlight once again. However, Jaxx CT Z (J-Nius V.V. Z x Ustinov) stands out not only for his unique Appaloosa coloring but also for his exceptional quality. His dam competed at 1.40m level in Israel and is a half-sister to international showjumpers performing at 1.35m, 1.45m, and 1.60m Grand Prix level.

35 top foals under the hammer

In total, 35 showjumping foals sired by 23 different stallions will go under the hammer during the international youth weekend at Sentower Park.

"This is an incredibly strong collection across the board," Gerald Lenaerts adds. "I counted no fewer than thirty granddams and thirty great-granddams that have already produced one or more 1.50m–1.60m Grand Prix horses."

Some of the absolute highlights of the collection include:

  • Carthamena vd Nachtegaal (Carthago Z): Out of the 1.55m Grand Prix mare Coromena. Her granddam Dimena competed at 1.60m level under Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum and is the granddam of no fewer than eight 1.60m–1.65m GP horses.

  • Cato Star QC Z (Catoki x Darco): An athletic colt out of the 1.50m mare Idole 111, the full sister to the legendary Winningmood (1.60m GP) and dam of Mr. Idol S (1.60m GP).

  • Dalton van 't Koningsbos (Cornet Obolensky x Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve): His nine-year-old granddam Roxanne de Regor is already competing at 1.50m level with Seppe Wouters and was bred out of the highly influential Centa de Muze.

  • Exquis Key Z (Emerald x Bentley vd Heffinck): A filly who is a half-sister to two 1.60m GP horses and one 1.50m horse. She is also a granddaughter of Babbe van 't Roosakker (1.60m GP).

  • Chica van 't Pardassenhof Z (Chacco Blue x Taran de la Pomme): Out of the full sister to the stallion El Torreo de Muze (1.60m GP). Her granddam Funky Music (1.60m GP) also produced Bretling du Paradis Z (1.60m GP).
