Six fantastic years of hard work lie behind Olivier Robert and his co-owners Barbara, Jérôme, and Céline. What started as a dream that required daily dedication grew into five seasons at the absolute top 1.60m level. Under Robert's saddle, Iglesias developed into a true fan favorite and a pillar of strength for France.

An Impressive Record on the World’s Greatest Arenas

Together with Olivier Robert, Iglesias showcased his extraordinary class at the world’s most iconic shows:

  • Hickstead: Double clear rounds in the Nations Cup twice.

  • Calgary (Spruce Meadows): Clear in the Nations Cup.

  • Aachen: Consistently brilliant in the main arena, highlighted by a stellar performance in the Grand Prix where he jumped three heavy rounds in a single afternoon.

  • La Baule & Ocala: A string of clear rounds at CSIO level.

A Lightning-Fast Deal with Ludger Beerbaum

The transfer to Germany came about through four-time Olympic champion Ludger Beerbaum. Iglesias stayed at Riesenbeck International for about ten days, after which Robert traveled to Germany at Beerbaum's invitation.

"Ludger invited me to come over and talk," says Olivier Robert. "We reached an agreement in three minutes. Ludger’s desire to keep him and how natural the deal felt made it an easy decision. It hurts to see him go, but having the horse we crafted ourselves standing in a box facing the statue of the legendary Ratina Z makes for a perfect happy ending."

A New Chapter Under the Irish Flag

Iglesias will represent Riesenbeck in the Global Champions Tour. Beerbaum's Irish stable rider already enjoyed a dream debut with him: four consecutive clear rounds and an impressive 6th place finish in the Grand Prix.

"He immediately sent me a message to share his incredible feel on my horse," Robert continues. "That makes me immensely proud. I feel a bit sad today, but that's the nature of our sport."

Gratitude and Looking Ahead to Zinado

Olivier Robert looks back on the journey with deep gratitude. He extends a special word of thanks to those who believed in Iglesias from day one: Henk, Édouard, Émeric, and Pénélope Leprevost. He also thanks his loyal farrier/veterinarian team, Franck (a constant presence for 19 years), Wolfgang, Céline for her endless patience at home, and groom Alex, who accompanied him over twenty flights across the globe.

While the departure of Iglesias closes a golden chapter for Robert’s team, their eyes are already set on the future: "A huge thank you to my co-owners Barbara and Jérôme, who are always there through thick and thin. Now we begin a new adventure with Zinado – it’s going to be great!"
