During one of what have might been the most interesting Derby´s of Eindhoven it was the  Dutch Sanne Thijssen who suprized the field of top riders and took home the win in the  €40,000, -  derby. For a long time it  looked like a jump-off between Remco Been and top rider Maikel van der Vleuten, both leaving the arena with nine penalty points. But then it was Sanne Thijssen who showed up with Ulena (v. Baloubet du Rouet). Just a Young Rider at 17 years old Thijssen and her  KWPN mare got around the tough course with only 4 penalty points and 155.26 seconds. Crossing the finish with a huge smile and doing a loup of vicotry in the arena with her fist in the air. In doin so she left Beem and Songe Blue des Vatys (v. Mr. Blue)  at second place over Van der Vleuten due to him tackling the course faster in 164.04 seconds. Van der Vleuten and VDL group Quatro (v. Quaprice Boimargot Quincy) fought valent but were just a little bit slower in 164.39 seconds, therefore taking third place. British Jessica Mendoza and Zahra II (v. Schuttershof of Kashmir) finished in 151.88 seconds, making her the fastest participant in the field, however she collected 12 penalties making her end as fourth.   The top five was completed by Koen Leemans Uraniet (v. Emilion), also having 12 penalty points behind his name. Last year's  winner Joy Lammers and Zomerfee van de Broekkant was last to take on the course, but was not in luck this time round. She left the arena with 20 penalties ending on twelfth place.
