Alvarez Aznar takes victory in front of home crowd at CSI5* Madrid

This afternoon, in Madrid the first CSI5* competition was ridden. This was a 1,45m class ridden against the clock. In this prize 'Mitsubishi', 48 combinations entered the show ring and 21 of them could keep the zero on the score board. The victory stayed in Spain. Eduardo Alvarez Aznar rode the 11-year old BWP-gelding Fidux (f. Malito de Rêve) in 57,12 seconds to the finish line. This was a very fast time, Maikel van der Vleuten, who ended on second place, was a second slower. He and VDL Groep Quatro (f. Guaprice Boimargot Quincy) finished in 58,25 seconds. Gonzalo Anon Suarez completed the top three wit the Tadmus son AD Amigo B. They left the wood untouched and finished in 58,59 seconds. The top five was completed by Darragh Kenny and Chalry Chaplin S (f. Harley VDL) and Victoria Gulliksen and Via vd Karmenhoek Z (f. Via Veneto). They finished in 58,87 and 59,03 seconds.
