With the Olympics as main event in 2016 all new national show jumping and dressage team are being announced. For Austria a total of five riders have made it to the so called A-team; Roland Englbrecht, Julia Kayser, Max Kühner, Gerfried Puck and Markus Saurugg. Qualified for their B-squad are Stefanie Bistan, Stefan Eder, Thomas Frühmann, Alice Janout, Astrid Kneifel, Dieter Köfler, Christiph Obernauer, Josef Schwarz and Hugo Simon.
