At the Azelhof international CSI2* competition the first day completed it's 1.30m Equnews main class in two subclasses. Belgium's Bart Clarys and Neal Vanderwegen jumped to victory. Clarys and the 9-year-old Helena vh Blondveld (by Contact vd Heffinck) crossed the finish in 50.38 seconds, almost five seconds faster as Dutch runner-up Michael Korompis. Korompis and Cetric van Beek (by Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve) stopped the timer in 55.18 seconds. The pair took some short turns, but didn't manage to leave out the strides Clarys did. Germany's Marco Litterscheidt placed third abaord Qualido L (by Quidam's Rubin). The top five was completed by Laure Smans (Beauty Black, by Kashmir van Schuttershof) and Kirsten Rombouts (Cerona van Beek, by Kashmir van Schuttershof). Earlier today Rombouts jumped into the prizes. Neal Vanderwegen claimed the second victory in the 1.30m class. Together with Barana (by Baldwin B) he was followed by Sam Ward and the 13-year-old KWPN-horse Wish (by Hors La Loi II). Marco Modolo and Gabby Kalakaija (by Balou Du Rouet) placed third. The top five was completed by Pieter Kenis with the 9-year-old Hera d'Hessy (by Chatman) in a fourth and Dayro Arroyave with Chasse Spleen Z (by Carthago Z) in fifth.
