"I want to bring him to Olympia because in this way, the British fans will be able to see him". Skelton got crowned as 'Hoys Equestrian of the Year' during the HOYS in Birmingham. In Birmingham, he took Big Star as well, although he wasn't jumping him at this show. "Big Star likes all the attention he gets. He has a great character and he loves to show himself to the big public". BBC also announced that Skelton is nominated for the award of BBC Sports Personality of the Year (SPOTY Awards). He already got his invitation for the big award show. Some of his opponents are Mo Farah and Andy Murray. "I don't know how many votes I need to win, but I'm sure that British Showjumping will try its absolute best to gain some extra votes", Skelton states.
