Belgium's Vice European Champion, Gregory Wathelet felt good under the sun in Drammen. Aboard Quasi Modo Z (Querlybet Hero x Quidam de Revel) the belgian show jumping rider was 2.58 seconds faster as Dutch runner-up Jur Vrieling. The pair stopped the clock in 37.37 seconds. Vrieling tacked up his stallion, VDL Arezzo (Chin Chin x Heartbreaker) for the job. Great-Britain's Douglas Duffin and Quidam B Z (by Quasimodo Z) also crossed the finishline faultless, stopping the time in 40.33 seconds. Duffin finished third and was followed by the slowest clear jump-off rider, Daniel Svensson and Christian K (by Namelus). A total of 43 riders took the start from who ten pairs qualified for the jump-off. As fastest four-faulter, Irish Paul Kennedy completed the top five with Cartown Danger Mouse.
