While Lummen is busy with the first leg of the FEI Furusiyya Nations Cup, Madrid is hosting city for the third leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour. It was British Ben Maher who claimed the first victory of the CSI 5* event. Aboard the 9-year-old Contigo 37 (by Calato), he left compatriot John Whitaker and Argento (by ARko III) in a second place. Marcus Ehning and Cristy (by Canturo) didn't seem to have any problems with the 1.45m fences. The pair speeded to the third place. The top five was completed by Swiss Christina Liebherr (L.D. Top Gun) and Jane Richard Philips (Pablo De Virton).
