The Big Tour at CSI Eindhoven proved a big challenge today for competitors. Many riders struggled to get a clear round, both due to jumping penalty and time faults. In the end only 9 out of 61 riders managed to qualify for the jump-off. After the first round where most riders struggled to qualify for the jump-off it seemed that only the best had managed to qualify. And all starters in the jump-off showed excellent performance. First start in the jump-off was the Dutch rider Lars Kersten with Dobbey (v. Zirocco Blue). And what a start it was. He started strong with a clear round and competitive time of 45.29 seconds. Forcing the riders after him to rise to the challenge. In the end his results were solid enough to place third. American rider Spencer Smith was second at the start with Theodore Manciais (v. Kashmir van Schuttershof), he finished in a very fast time but with 4 penalties. Effectively taking himself out of the scoreboard. Dutch Young Rider Lisa Nooren was third to start and showed why she is a rising talent to watch. With Dienellie (v. Berlin) she finished with a clear round in just 44.38 seconds. Temporarily taking the lead. Swedish rider Malin Parmler and JK Horsetrucks Hopefull (v. Mr Blue) also showed a strong performance by keeping the slate clean in just 45.51 seconds. Closely followed by Gert-Jan Bruggink and Casparo 26 (v. Calato). With a clear round and 45.88 seconds he showed a determined and solid round. Leopold van Asten was one of the last riders to start the jumping-off. Without hesitation he guided VDL Groep Beauty (v. For Pleasure ) swiftly through the finish in a very clean and clear round. Taking the lead with 43.03 seconds. Last rider in the jump-off was Swedish Petronella Andersson with Bacardi 188 (v. Andiamo). She gave it her all and tried to beat Leopold van Asten.
