In what can only be described as an exciting and thrilling Puissance at the Dublin Horse Show it was the home riders Billy Twomey and Michael Hutchinson who shared the prize in the final jump-off. It started off with 14 riders. The wall was 1.80m and 12 of the riders cleared it, with Irish rider Gerard Clarke and Marlon Modolo Zanotelli faulting in the first round. In the second round the wall reached 1.95m with just 10 of the riders clearing it. In the final round the wall reached a dizzying 2.20. Three riders had made it to the final round, Billy Twomey with AFP's Quick Vainquer, Michael Hutchinson with Acorad 3, and Alexander Butler with Tsjakka. Out of these three riders only Billy and Michael could clear it. The riders decided to share the first prize. The atmosphere was electric in the RDS Main Arena. The crowd cheered on all of the riders and were extremely loud every time a rider cleared the wall. The announcer Brendan McArdle got all of the crowd to do the Mexican wave. It was an amazing class with plenty of thrills and spills. Click here for the full results.
