Before the Grand Prix started in Monte Carlo it was British Scott Brash who rode to victory in the 1.45/1.50m class. Aboard the 11-years-old Hello Annie (by Contendro I) he made a very nice impression on the people in the crowded VIP tribunes. Compatriot John Whitaker and Ornellaia (by For Pleasure) followed in a second place. Santiago Lambre and Rahmannshof (by Tenerife VDL) finished their course in 47.51 seconds, about 2 seconds slower as Brash and Hello Annie. Leaving the pair in a third spot. Abdullaj Alsharbatly and his new ride, Domingo, finished fourth. The top five was completed by VDL Groep Quatro and rider Maikel Van der Vleuten. With his win Brash took home a little over 8,000 Euro.
