Carly Kist takes the big win at the Rocky Mountain Classic I

John C Anderson's Rocky Mountain show jumping welcomed the local riders last week in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. On Saturday the jumpers got to ride their biggest class the 1.45m Grand Prix. Organizer, John Anderson tacked up Terrific and did speed to the third spot. Only Red Deer's Femke Van den  Bosch (Dereusa S) and Carly Kist (Emiel D'Or vd Durmstede) did better. The latter set the unbeatable time an claimed the $7,500 victory. James Chawke (Parette) and Tracey Epp (Chicago) completed the top five. In the green arena a record number of horses took the start in this Rocky Mountain Classic I tour. On the final day the Anderson Grand Prix was set at a height of 1.30m. Jim Ifko and Ultrago d'Amy continued their form, and did place yet again. This time on the first place. Maria McHenry (Lordana) and Edmonton's Mariola Slawinski (Lavos Z) completed the stage. On Sunday the Jumper Derby attracted the field. the $5,000 Fiorino Family was claimed by the oldies team - Mariola Slawinski and her chestnut Lavos Z. The combination was followed by Paige McDougall (Larimo van de Berghoeve) and Riley Campbell (Auckland). The 1.10m Jumper Derby saw Emma Dunne and Enonymus jumping to the win.
