Catherine Van Roosbroeck on top in WEN's Grand Prix

Last weekend Belgium's Catherine Van Roosbroeck speeded to victory for a home win. After winning the Small Grand Prix at the CSI2* Winter Equestrian Nights, Van Roosbroeck also returned home with the Grand Prix win. Aboard the Cicero van Paemel Z-son, Gautcho da Quinta she had no problem conquering the 1.45/1.50m fences in Lier. A total of 13 combinations qualified for the jump-off, Van Roosbroeck was the only female rider, but proved her worth. Sixth combination in, Thomas Van Minnebruggen and Angel van 't Hof were the first ones to finish clear, stopping the clock in 39.17 seconds. Dutch show jumper, Marc Boes did an effort in beating Van Minnebruggen, but concluded with a faultless round in 40.87 seconds, good for the third spot. Only Catherina Van Roosbroeck did better claiming the win. The top five was completed by Jeroen De Winter (Gretel S) in fourth and Constant Van Paesschen (Calore van de Helle) in fifth.
