PRESS RELEASE : Sunshine Tour Press   THE JUMP OFF WAS CLOSELY CONTESTED WITH PIPPA ALLEN RIDING HOPE SPRINGS TAKING 2nd AND HARRIET NUTTALL WITH A TOUCH IMPERIOUS WAS 3rd IN THIS FEI LONGINES RANKING CLASS. The French rider Cedric Angot riding Rubis Des Preuilly was victorious in the GP FEI Longines Ranking (Big Tour D) class today, over a testing course designed by Javier Trenor. Only 5 competitors went clear in the first round, one French and the remainder British. They went on to compete in an exciting jump off where Cedric Angot won in a time of 45.57 sec. Pippa Allen was 2nd in 46.27 sec with Hope Springs and Harriet Nuttall with A Touch Imperious, 3rd in 48.29 sec. The Big Tour C class at 1.45m, was won by the South African rider Oliver Lazarus riding Casino N with the fastest time of 31.42 sec. Samantha Mcintosh from New Zealand was 2nd riding Estina, with a time of 32.04 sec and the Spanish rider Eduardo Álvarez was 3rd in 32.42 sec riding Top Lulu. Julien Epaillard riding Usual Suspect D’Auge for France, won the Big Tour B class, Keneth Cheng from Hong Kong riding Dragon Leon was 2nd and the Spanish rider Manuel Fernández Saro riding Coquira was 3rd. The Irish rider Richard Howley won the A2 class with D. Millfield Darin, in 2nd place was the British rider Robert Bevis with Vogue and Joe Whitaker for Britain, riding Ximena, took 3rd. The A1 class at 1.30 m was won by the British rider Matthew Sampson riding Dolanda, followed by his compatriot Harriet Nuttall with Silver Lift in 2nd and the Belgian rider Virginie Thonon with Kosovo took 3rd. In the Amateur classes the Peruvian rider Carlos Merino riding Ofelia Te Quiero won the biggest 1.35 m class, the Classic Tour D. The Irish rider Derek Mc Coppin riding Billy Diamond was 2nd and the Belgian rider Ugo Berritella with Batida du Faurieu completed the podium. In the Classic Tour C , Dutch rider Eric Van Der Vleuten riding Casantos was 1st, the Italian rider Filippo Tabarini riding Gipsy of Heritage, took 2nd and the Irish rider Brian Cassidy with Mega Heat Wave, 3rd. In the Classic Tour B class British rider Kerry Grimster riding All Rise took 1st, the Moroccan rider Abdelkader Maâmar with Miss Maroc Telecom, 2nd and the British rider Alison Barton with Billy Anna was 3rd. In the Classic Tour A class Shiekh Samir Mirdad riding Mirdads Baaab Al Ray and also Mirdads Nayyyarat Al took both 1st and 2nd place while the British rider, Chloe Breen riding Zidane VIII took 3rd.
