Over 60 Young Jumpers competed this week in the $65,000 Princeton Young Jumper Championships at Hunter Farms North in Skillman, NJ. This major event will brings much needed exposure to young show jumping horses, their owners and breeders. The Championship is the American equivalent of the FEI Young Horse Championship held each fall in Lanaken, Belgium. Five time Olympian, Anne Kursinski was one of the 4 year old judges and had this to say about the competition. "As a whole, the 4year olds did well on Saturday. A few improved from Friday, others fared about the same. I feel it is a great program and experience for these youngsters. Alan Wade's courses were extremely inviting and the atmosphere quite friendly. There is a bit of money for the owners and breeders. All of the horses have grown up a little after this Championship at Princeton Show Jumping. Thank you to the owners, breeders, riders and trainers who supported Princeton Young Jumper Championships. We enjoyed watching your beautiful horses show case their talents and wish them all the best in the future!
