John Anderson made the impossible possible for his second edition of Calgary's Royal West Indoor show jumping. In the first international speed class, set at a height of 1.45m, Chili's Samuel Parot didn't give away his prices. The show jumper took in the stage. Aboard his Belgian Warmbred Couscous van Orti (by Nabab de Rêve) he finished clear in 64.60 seconds, taking home the win. Together with Atlantis (by Andiamo) and Tailormade Anna Chacca (by Chacco-Blue) he also took home the second and third place. Local starts followed the Chili-rider. Olympic Alberta-rider, Jill Henselwood finished fourth aboard Farfelu du Printemps (by Action Breaker). Henselwood finished in 67.33 seconds and was followed by her pupil Elizabeth Gingras (Avalon, by Arpeggio). Organizer John Anderson and the 15-years-old Terrific took home the sixth spot. Henselwood and the 10-years-old Stallion Quidam Blue followed in sevent. Best USA-rider was Kyle King and Quingley. Stopping the clock in 69.35 seconds and adding one jumping fault (4 seconds) they finished 9th.
