Colombia’s Roberto Teran and Woklahoma Win Great American $1 Million Grand Prix at HITS Ocala

On Easter Sunday the crowd got to witness some top level sport at the HITS Ocala. In the end it was Colombia's representative Roberto Teran and Woklahoma who got cheered, riding to victory in the Great American  $1 million Grand Prix. A total of 40 horse-rider combinations took the start. Teran and the 13-year-old, Dutch Warmblood mare (Sheraton x Calvados) jumped double clear over two technical courses, designed by Ireland’s Alan Wade, to best a jump-off field of nine. The winning team finished faultless in a time of 45.629 seconds to claim the $350,000 winner’s check.   Behind the winners in today’s Great American $1 Million were Ireland’s Cian O’Connor and Good Luck (Canturo x Furioso II), with a time that trailed the victors by just under three seconds at 48.435 seconds. The United States’ Lillie Keenan and Super Sox (Salito x Silvio I) also landed on the podium with the third and final double clear, finishing in 3rdplace with a time of 49.410 seconds.
