CSI Stockholm: Philippaerts twins on one and two in last classes

After the Grand Prix of this afternoon, a few more CSI4* classes were scheduled for this afternoon in Stockholm. Earlier this afternoon the 'Friends Christmas Speed Stakes' was ridden and it was Nicola Philippaerts who crowned himself the winner. In this class, ridden against the clock, he went fast as lightening and finished in 56,15 seconds. He saddled the 12-year old Clinton daugther Ustina Sitte for this job. The second place went to the Norwegion rider Johan-Sebastian Gulliksen. He rode Charleville (f. Quasimodo Z) in 56,65 seconds to the finish line and left the wood untouched. Peder Fredricson completed the top three with H&M Carat Desire (f. Carinjo). This combination jumped a clear round as well and finished in 57,54 seconds. Bertram Allen, who already won the Grand Prix today, now ended on fourth place. He saddled his Wrangler II (f. Padinus) for this. They left the wood untouched and finished in 57,65 seconds. Jens Fredricson and Uncanto Di Villagana (f. Canturo) completed the top five. The international show was closed with the 'Sweden Masters'. In this class, only five combinations entered the show ring. Janika Sprunger was the first rider to make a jumping penalty. She and Aris CMS (f. Bmc Nassau) had to leave the competition after the second round. Peder Fredricson and H&M Flip's Little Sparrox (f. Cardento 933) didn't survive the third round and ended on fourth place. The third place went to the Swedish rider Alexander Zetterman. Together with Cordialis 8 (f. Corrado I) he reached the fourth round, but then he got a jumping penalty, so he had to leave the competition as well. In the last round it was up to Olivier Philippaerts and Douglas Lindelöw to battle it out. Both riders jumped a clear round once again, but Douglas Lindelöw was faster with his Caville (f. Cartogran). This Swedish combination crossed the finish line in 34,61 seconds. With this time they were over a second faster than Philippaerts and Iker (f. Ogani Sitte) who ended on second place with a time of 35,65 seconds. Click here for all results
