German rider Christian Ahlmann is always successful at the 5* show in Leipzig, he has won the World Cup Class there three times!. Today proved no different as he won the 1.50m 'Championat von Leipzig' class with the 14 year old gelding Aragon Z (Askari x Kolibri). Irish rider Denis Lynch was in the lead for a long time with the 15 year old gelding Abbervail van het Dingeshof (Nonstop x Jus de Pomme), but in the end was bested by Ahlmann and had to settle for second place. Ahlmann's team mate Philipp Weishaupt took third place with the 10 year old gelding Chico (Cordalme x Sandro), while Marco Kutscher and Ahlmann's partner Judy Ann Melchior finished fourth and fifth respectively.
