The win in the $216,000 Longines FEI World Cup Wellington just went to Nayel Nassar riding Lordan.  In a jump-off with 10 riders the Egyptian was faster then home rider Laura Kraut and the Spanish Sergio Alvarez Moya. Exactly 25% of the riders came back for the jump-off in the North American League World Cup Grand Prix today.  The top 5 kept beating each other, going faster and faster over and over again. Adrienne Sternlicht was second to go and set the first top 5 time with Cristalline. The American rider rode the Cristallo 1 bred horse to the finish in  41.64 seconds. After that it was Wilton Porter and Caletto Cabana who tried to top the time, but just not managed to do so.  The young rider who just came back to the USA after his training in the Netherlands with Dubbeldam put in the very nice clear round. Aboard his Holsteiner stallion of Cassini I he crossed the finish line after a clear round of 44.89 seconds, that would give him the fifth over all place. Alvarez Moya en Arrayan got into the ring right after Porter. And totally smashed the time Sternlicht set by taking of one and a half second with  his 12 year old KWPN gelding of Baloubet du Rouet. However his victory was also short lived as it was Nayel Nassar and Lordan (by Lordanos) who could top that. The Egyptian duo kept the speed up during the course and finished in 38.15 seconds. Laura Kraut who was last to go did try to catch up the Nasser. Aboard Zeremonie she did come close with her time of 39.92 seconds, but had to settle with second place.
