After a stormy first week the MET tour in Oliva has the weather on its side in the south of Spain. Today the young horses classes finished with their finals. In the finals for 7-year-old horses it was Equteam rider, Jean-Christophe de Grande who topped the class. Aboard the Zangersheide-sire, Dorus du Domain Z (by Diamant de Semilly, De Grande crossed the finish in 31.42 seconds. Armin Himmelreich and the Stakkato Gold-decendant, Speedy Jump placed as runner-up after a clear round in 33.53 seconds. Jamal Rahimov represented Azerbeidjan on a third place. Together with Floris TN (by Quality Time) he crossed the finish in 34.40 seconds. The top five was completed by Louise Simpson in the saddle of Felix X (by Cs Online) in fourth and Tomas Couve Correa with Aldo du Manoit (by Iowa) in fifth. With the six-year-old horses it was Spanish Manuel Pinto who claimed victory. Together with the brown stallion Credo-Blue (by Chacco-Blue) he rode an exciting jump-off in 35.66 seconds. Belgium-based Trevor Been and Zilton SI Z (by Zirocco Blue VDL) had to settle for a second place after a clear round in 36.66 seconds. Belgium's Lieven Devos completed the stage with Mr. Quality Z (by Mr. Blue).     Matteo Checchi and Bella Brown (by Balou du Rouet) left the rivals behind them in the 5-year-old finals class.
