Eve Jobs of Los Altos Hills, CA, ended her junior career on a high note by winning the Show Jumping Hall of Fame Year-End Championship presented by T&R Development. The Championship, which culminates the year-long Show Jumping Hall of Fame Jumper Classic Series, was held at the 2016 CP National Horse Show in Lexington, KY.
Jobs bested a highly competitive field of thirty-two entries to clinch the win in the Championship aboard her own Calizz.
Nine riders out of the field of thirty-two made it to the jump-off, producing only two clean jump-off rounds. Jobs won with a clean round in 37.152 seconds with second place going to Addison Gierkink of Harpswell, ME who finished clean in 37.487 seconds on S & L Slingback.
"Calizz is really straightforward and she's got a great mind," said Jobs. "Our jump-off round worked out really great. She was awesome and it feels amazing to win. I competed at the National Horse Show last year in the Junior Jumpers, and I had a rail down in the Classic, and I was pretty bummed about it. Coming back this year and being able to win it is amazing."
The National Horse Show and Show Jumping Hall of Fame also honored Giavanna Rinaldi and Emanuel Andrade as the winners of its season-long Junior and Amateur-Owner series respectively. Rinaldi topped the Junior Division on her horse Dulf Van Den Bisschop and Andrade won the Amateur-Owner Division on his horseWalter 61.
