It was reported earlier today by several news sites, including Equnews, that the mare Evita van de Veldbalie had been sold to Beezie madden. However, this is now not the case and will in the future fly the Canadian colours for Wesley Newlands & Weslands Farms. The ten year old mare has had huge success with Stephex Stables’ Daniel Deusser in the saddle, last year the pair won the Rolex IJRC Top Ten Final as well as the Masters in Stuttgart and in Lyon. This year Evita van de Veldbalie jumped at the World Equestrian Games with Italy’s Lorenzo de Luca. Wesley Newlands will have the ride on the talented mare. The Newlands Family is based in Florida, USA and are frequent attendees of the FTI Consulting Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida. “I’ll be showing her this winter” said Wesley. “I’m so excited to be able to add a horse with this much experience to my string!”
