The pair beat home rider Andreas Kreuzer and Easy Blue (Chacco Blue), who finished in 19,18 seconds. Belgium's Jos Verlooy jumped Japatero VDM (Eldorado vd Zeshoek) to the third spot in half a second more. Brazil followed suit.
