France takes Nations Cup win in Gijon

Today France jumped to victory in Gijon's FEI Nations Cup Divison 2 series. Kevin STaut, Edward Levy, Gregory Cottard and Nicolas Delmotte collected a total of four points over two round. From the beginning the French team was in the lead with a clear first round. Only Nicolas Delmotte and the 9-year-old Ilex VP (by Diamant de Semilly- produced two clear round. His colleagues, Kevin Staut (For Joy van 't Zorgvliet HDC, by For Pleasure), Edward Levy (Sirius Black, by Calisco du Pitray) and Gregory Cottard (Regate d'Aure, by Robin II Z) all produced one clear round and one round with one jumping fault. The Dutch show jumpers followed as runner-up with eight points. Johnny Pals (Wesselina), Roelof Bril (Arlando), Sanne Thijssen (Celine M Z) and Frank Schuttert (Chianti's Champion) collect eight points, thanks to the double clear rounds of Roelof Bril and his 12-year-old Harley VDL-son. The Irish squad settled for third with 12 points. For the Irish team only Shane Breen and the 9-year-old Carambar de Muze-son, Ipswich van de Wolfsakker produced a double clear round in this 1.60m Nations Cup.     Click here for the results
