French triumph in Al Ain GP

Michael_Hutchinton_Dubai_horseshow_2013While Belgian riders were at the WEN (Winter Equestrian Nights) and the showjumping top went to Bordeaux almost the complete Middle East was represented in the international competition of Al Ain. However it was France that went home with the victory. Michel Hecart and the Diamant de Semilly-horse Piman de la Deviniere triumphed after a clear jump off in 52:86 seconds. Over 3 seconds slower French rider Frederic David (Equador vh Roosakker) finished on the second place. International toprider Abdullah Al Sharbatly and his horse Lobster finished on the third place. Only the top 3 had two clear rounds. In total 9 combinations out of the 33 starters came back for the Jump Off. Especially the United Arab Emirates were represented. Maybe nice to know is that Irish Studentrider Michael Hutchinson ended in 12th place after he and Le Roi (s. Landgraf I) had two fences down. source: equnews.be
