On the second but last day of the 'Longines Spring Classic of Flanders' the CSI1* Grand Prix went to Belgian rider, Geoffry Geerts. On the Garden Arena the jumps were set at a height of 1.30m. A total of 10 horse-rider combinations returned for the jump-off. Aboard Hamilton Geerts left Jan Claeys and Blackmail JB (by Berlin) in a second place. Benny Naessens and Ems Illusion van de Bien made it to the third spot. The top five was completed by Mike Hosewol (Anette) and Gert-Jan Hubrechts (Indy van de Roten). In the 1.20m it was Jens Vandenberk who rode to victory. This rider claimed several victories the last week. This time aboard the 10 year old Nonstop-daughter, Dossari du Buisson Z. Danny van Es (Cargo Z) finished 2nd while Ines Van den Bosch and U2 rode to the third place. At 2pm the 1.60m Grand Prix is the eye-catcher of the day. The competition in Lummen will finish with the CSI2* Grand Prix, starting at 5pm.
