German riders dominate Grand Prix of Oldenburg

In the German Oldenburg, it was a big German party this afternoon in the CSI2* Grand Prix. The German riders didn't only win the competition, they also took the rest of the top five placings... 60 combinations entered the show ring for this Grand Prix and 10 of them rode a clear first round. A jump-off with ten combinations also had to decide about the winner. Kendra Claricia Brinkop took the victory with her 8-year old A la Carte NRW (f. Abke). This combination left all 1,50m fences untouched and finished in 35,00 seconds. The second place went to Jörg Oppermann. He and Che Guevara cleared the jump-off in 35,11 seconds. Mario Stevens and the 10-year old gelding Banana Pancake (f. Empire) jumped a clear jump-off and finished in 36,83 seconds. The German riders Maximilian Lill (ABC Trixi) and Joachim Heyer (Aquarell PW) completed the top five. In the last class it were also the German riders who ruled the show. The victory went to Gerrit Nieberg. He and Olivia la Sweet (f. Oklund) rode the fastest time in this class ridden against the clock. They left the wood untouched and finished in 49,77 seconds. Second place was for Toni Hassmann. He and Channing L (f. Cornet Obolensky) cleared the course in 52,69 seconds. Lennert Hauschild and Centano (f. Chalan) completed the podium.
