Germany straight to victory in Falsterbö's Nations Cup

Marcus Ehning met Plot Blue in Aachen 2012Yesterday, Germany won the Nations Cup Division 1 held in Falsterbo, Sweden. It seemed to be a hard Nations Cup to ride, throughout the competition more and more teams started gathering penalties. By the end, only Germany was left free of any faults, apart from one rider. The class was set at 1.60m, with a total of 9 teams competing for the 200,000 EUR in prize money. The German team had Otto Becker as chef d’equipe. Team members included Marcus Ehning on Plot Blue, Rolf Moormann with Acorte, Carsten-Otto Nage aboard Corradina, and Phillip Weisshaupt on Monte Bellini. Rolf and Acorte were the pair to produce the team’s only four faults by having their last fence down. The second place was for Italy with a total of 12 penalties. Lucia Maria Moneta on Neptune Brecourt, Emanuele Gaudiano and Cocoshynsky, Francesco Franco with Cassandra, and Piergiorgio Bucci aboard Casallo Z formed the Italian team. The Netherlands completed the stage with a third place after gathering a total of 16 faults. © equnews.be/ Equnews.com - photo: equpics.be
