The Grolsch Grand Prix of Twente today was coloured by Germany's colours. Philip Rüping and Copperfield (Contendro I x Drosseklang II) continued his top form of the season with today's Grand Prix victory.  Earlier this season, Rüping finished second in the Grand Prix of Hagen, third in the Grand Prix of Redefin and more recently second in the Grand Prix of Wiesbaden. The 1.60m CSI3* Grand Prix saw a total of eight combinations in the jump-off. Rüping took the lead early in the second phase with a time of 37.97 seconds. With his win Rüping received a brand new Mercedes Benz car. Also horse owner Paul Schockemöhle was enhousiastic about the win. Joe Whitaker and Lola V (by  Locarno 62) followed in a second place after a finish in 38.35 seconds. While William Funnell and Billy Congo (by Vechta) placed third. Both went home with a second car from CSI Twente Germany’s Jörg Naeve and Belgium’s Pieter Clemens ended up fourth and fifth respectively in the jump-off with eight competitors.
