Gilles Dunon - new Belgian Champion

Yesterday the final of the Belgian Championship took place in Lanaken. Giles Dunon ended up as the winner riding Fou De Toi vd Keihoeve (Toulon x Melkior du Montois). The championship goes over four days with three days of jumping and today on the final day the riders had to jump two rounds.

Despite his horse had a little fever at the beginning of this week the new Champion went for it. "My horse jumped outstanding. I never had a better horse to rider with. I have Fou De Toi for 2 years now and I hope we can still work together in the future." states Dunon. "Being a Champion is nice, but Monday morning I will like always bring my childeren to school and ride my horses."

It was close in the top with Gilles Dunon ending on a penalty score of 7,51 while second placed Niels Bruynseels with Filou D (Querlybet Hero x Ahorn Z) finished the four rounds on 7,88 penalties. Third place went to Wouter Devos - Pieter Devos' brother - riding Tonik Hero (Ogano Sitte x Elegant De L'ile).
