A lot of Nations Cup are ridden this weekend. There's a Nations Cup in Opglabeek, Lisbon and Rome this week. At the CSI5* show of Rome, the Nations Cup has just reached its showdown. Great Britain was crowned as the winner. The British team, which consisted of Ben Maher, Jessica Mendoza, Michael Whitaker and John Whitaker ended with a total of four faults. In the first round, almost every British rider kept the zero on the scoreboard. Only Michael Whitaker and Cassionato (Cassini I) had a total of 9 points. In the second round Ben Maher and Tic Tac (Clinton) didn't manage to keep the wood untouched either. They hit two fences, which resulted in 8 points. The young British rider Jessica Mendoza and Spirit T (Tornado) didn't ride a clear round either. They hit one unfortunately fence. John Whitaker was the only British rider who managed to ride a double clear. He and Ornellaia (For Pleasure) didn't touch the wood. Second place was for the French équipe. The number one of the world, Simon Delestre had 12 points with Hermes Ryan (Hugo Gesmeray SF) in the first round they hit once fence. Kevin Staut and Reveneur de Hurtebise HDC (Kashmir van het Schuttershof) left the wood untouched in the first round. In the second round they had one unlucky fence down. The French leading lady rider Penelope Leprevost rode two clear rounds with Vagabond de la Pomme (Vigo d'Arsouilles). Roger Yves Bost and Sydney Une Prince (Baloubet du Rouet) had one fence down in the first round. In the second round they had 8 points. Third place was for the United States. The team results for the Americans was 12 points. Kent Farrington and Voyeur (Tolano van 'T Riethof) rode a clear first round. In the second round, they didn't manage to keep of the wood. Voyeur hit one fence. Callan Solem and VDL Wizard (Gentleman) were the second American combination to enter the ring. They had 8 points in the first round, in the second round they did it with 4 points. Laura Kraut and Zeremonie (Cero II) had one fence down in each round. Ward Mclain and HH Azur (Thunder van de Zuuthoeve) were the first and last combination to enter the ring for the American team.
