In Oliva the second day of the MET was as yesterday only open for the young horses. There were classes for five, six and seven year old horses. Big winner of the day is the French rider Harold Boisset. He won the classes for six and seven year old horses. In the class for seven year old horses he was the best with the mare Verone de La Roque (s. Kannan). They stayed clear in the two phases and this in a time of 32.73 seconds. The Italian rider Riccardo Pisani followed in second place with Cristo 28 (s. Cornado I). They also managed to stay clear and this in 33.99 seconds. German rider Torben Köhlbrandt ended in third place with Ceks 3 (s. Carrico). They finished in 34.26 seconds. The top five was completed by Kai Schäfer with Celine 235 (s. Cristallo) and Michael Kearins with Evabellie W. They stayed clear in respectively 34.40 and 34.55 seconds. Also in the class for six year old horses we saw Harold Boisset on top. This time he rode the Belgian warmblood mare Katinka vh Valenberghof (s. Corland) to victory. They stayed clear in 41.46 seconds. British rider Tony French was second with Cassius XI (s. Darius). They had zero penalties in 42.60 seconds. Harold Boisset ended also in third place and this with the Diarado offspring Kitty S. This horse also stayed clear and this in a time of 42.67 seconds. Louise Whitaker (Special Warrior) and Jennifer Pedersen (Class de Light HU) completed the top five. They also managed to ride clear rounds in respectively 42.70 seconds and 43.19 seconds. It was Great-Brittain that dominated the class for five year old horses. Victory was for Carmen Edwards and the gelding Twinning Hill (s. Zambesi). They stayed clear in both phases in 38.09 seconds. James Wilson followed in second place with the Zangersheide stallion Quinlan Z (s. Quinar Z). They had zero penalties in a time of 39.72 seconds. Third place was again for Carmen Edwards. This time she rode Candy Blue II (s. Zambesi). They stayed clear in 40.17 seconds. The top five was completed by Hannah Mytilineou (Gijs) and Hans-Jörn Ottens (Cronos L). They managed to stay clear in 40.75 seconds and 41.35 seconds. Click here for the results.
