The new number one of the world, Harrie Smolders has celebrated his new world position with a Grand Prix victory at the Longines Global Champions Tour in Hamburg. Only seven combinations qualified for the Jump-Off. Two pairs crossed the finish of the shortened track without any fault. Smolders speeded to victory aboard the 14-year-old Zangersheide-sire, Don VHP Z (f. Diamant de Semilly). The pair stopped the clock at 37.97 seconds. Also Maurice Tebbel Kept it clear in the saddle of Chaccos' Son (f. Chacco-Blue). The combination crossed the finish in 39.14 seconds. Martin Fuchs completed the stage with Chaplin (f. Verdi TN). First to go in the Jump-Off was Belgium's Jos Verlooy. Together with the 13-year-old Casall-son, Caracas Verlooy completed the course with one jumping fault, placing fourth. Christian Ahlmann followed in a fifth spot aboard Tokyo (f. Kannan).   Click here for the results
