A big crowd gathered this night in the South Point Hotel equestrian arena for the 1.50m Worldcup Grand Prix. A proud owner, Axel Verlooy had 3 horses in the top five with the victory for Harrie Smolders and Regina Z. The pair topped an impressive field of competitors in this $75,000 Las Vegas CSI-w GP. Ten entries returned for a sizzling jump-off. Harrie Smolders flew through the course and set the time at 39.21 seconds. Only Karl Cook and Tal Milstein Stables' reference Jonkheer Z came close after a clear round in 39.33 seconds. The pair recently won the HITS Thermal Series GP. Dutch Harrie also claimed the third spot, this time with Enjoy Louis. Belgian stable-friend Jos Verlooy and Domino did ride a fast time, however the last rail touched the ground, good for a fourth place in this Grand Prix.
