It was Henrik von Eckermann who topped the main competition of the day at the CHIO Rotterdam. The Swedish show jumping rider and his ride Chacanno, a 9-year-old Oldenburg gelding (Chacco Blue x Kannan) owned by Oleksandr Onyshchenko, had no issue with the course. The mid-afternoon class attracted a long startlist and produced a hefty jump-off; 23 of the 52 starters jumped clear, and 22 returned to the jump-off.   13466485_10209953509663005_6664771765323582777_nThe first round track was straightforward, however a triple combination along the long side just past the ingate as the penultimate obstacle on course caused its share of rails. Abdelkebir Ouaddar and Quickly de Kreisker took over the temporarily lead with a time of 37.34 seconds, but Von Eckermann was able to find a shorter track that was 0.54 seconds faster. Leopold Van Asten was a popular 3rd place for The Netherlands riding VDL Groep Beauty.
