At the international autumn Tour in Vilamoura, Portugal the main class of the day is the 1.40m class tonight. Earlier the international show jumping riders prepared in the 1.30 and 1.35m courses. Rodrigo Mequita Marinho speeded to victory aboard the 12-year-old Udo van de Somme (Baloubet du Rouet x Heartbreaker). The pair concluded their track in 57.90 seconds. Australia's Merrick Ubank followed in a second place. Ubank and the 10-year-old Alantinus crossed the finish in 57.93 seconds. Duarte Seabra and Axelle M Z (Andiamo Z x Cor de la Bryere) ensured a home spot on stage after a clear finish in 58.18 seconds. Top top five was completed by Lara Postillon (Woman) and Seabra's compatriot Nuno Tiago Gomes (Pantaro). A total of eleven combinations concluded the track faultless. In the 1.30m class victory was for the organizing country. Martim Portela De Morais and the 10-year-old Belgian Warmblood horse Gina Van Overis (Darco x Lys de Darmen) set a record time of 27.19 seconds. From the 44 combinations at the start, 24 produced a first clear round, qualifying for the jump-off. Carolina Aresu Garcia Obregon (Xica) and Phillip Spivey (Kasparov) completed the stage in this class.
