Irish eyes are smiling as Denis Lynch lands top class of the day in Basel

Irish rider Denis Lynch took the competition by storm today at the CSI5* show in Basel, Switzerland by winning the 1.50m 'Preis des Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois'. Riding his old faithful Abbervail van het Dingeshof (Nonstop x Jus de Pomme), Lynch came out on top out of the 9 riders in the jump-off, stopping the clock at 33.17 seconds, blitzing the competition. Home rider Romain Duguet took second place in front of an enthusiastic home crowd with Twentytwo des Biches ( x Mylord Carthago), stopping the clock just a fraction slower than Lynch, at 33.33 seconds. Belgian rider Jerome Guery finished in third place with Grand Cru van de Rosenberg ( x Malito de Reves) , while French rider and speed merchant Roger Yves Bost took fourth place.
