Italy colours first CSI5* win in London

After two days dressage the 'Olympia Horse Show' in London is all set for top show jumping action. In the 1.55m opening class it was Italy's Emmanuel Gaudiano who took home the win. Aboard the 9-year-old Caspar (by Casper) the pair won in a time of 33.52 seconds. Home-rider John Whitaker could count on a anthousiastic audiance. The crowd went wild when the Brit entered the arena aboard Argento (by Arko III). Finishing in 33.97 seconds the pair came close but returned home with a second place. France's Olivier Robert and Quenelle du Py finished third. The top five was completed by Great-Britain's Ben Majer aboard Boomerang and Veredus-rider, Pius Schwizer with PSG Future. A total of nine out of the 29 starters qualified for the jump-off.  Both Jessica Mendoza (Qurack de Falaise H D C) and Jos Verlooy (Tendresse du Fort) crossed the finish line with one jumping fault.
