The RDS (Royal Dublin Horse Show) is the main equestrian show jumping event in Ireland. Also this year the majority of people head to the capital to see the top of the world at work. In yesterday's 1.50/1.60m-class it was Italy's Emanuele Gaudiano who rode to victory. Together with the 12-year-old Cocoshynsky (by Cornet Obolensky) Gaudiano left Irish favorite, Bertram Allen in second place. The current number five of the world finished second with Quiet Easy 4 and was followed by compatriot Cian O'Connor (Coco II). The top five was completed by Brasils Marlon Zanotelli (Rock'N Roll Semilly) and Conor Swail (Viva Colombia). In the 1.50m class the Irish crowd went loud when Paul O'Shea rode to victory aboard the 8-year-old KWPN-horse Skara Glen's Machu Picchu (by Silverstone VDL). Patrick Stühlmeyer and Caramba 70 took in the runner-up position while Dennis Lynch and Abbervail van het Dingeshof (by Nonstop) finished third.
