After the international Longines Horse show in Lausanne, Switzerland, Janika Sprunger's 10-year-old Grand Prix horse, Bonne Chance CW got injured. On her Facebook page, Sprunger has announced the news. Because of his injury the Baloubet du Rouet-son won't be able to defend the Swiss colours at the FEI Furusiyya Nations Cup finals in Barcelona. Sprunger hopes to be back in action with Bonne Chance by December this year. Then Sprunger will compete at the CHI in Geneva. At the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Janika Sprunger and Bonne Chance placed sixth in the overal standing. At the CSI5* in Lausanne, Sprunger left the arena on Saturday after a clear first round to not return in the jump-off.  Earlier this sommer the pair won the Team Nations Cup in Falsterbo, Sweden. De Olympische combinatie, in Rio goed voor een zesde plaats met Zwitserland, sprong in Lausanne zowel op donderdag als zaterdag foutloos, maar op zaterdag verlieten zij na een foutloze eerste fase de ring.
