Japan coloured the win at the international CSIO4* Grand Prix in Linz. Taizo Sugitani continued his great form after his third place in the CSI Hagen Grand Prix two weeks ago, now jumping to victory aboard the 17-year-old Avenzio (Animo x Erdball XX). The jumps were set at a height of 1.60m and saw eight riders in the jump-off. Sugitani stopped the clock about one second faster as runner-up Juan Carlos Garcia, representing Italy with his 13-year-old Cocodrillo (Corrado I x Lord). Spanish Santiago Nunez Riva and Quarela de Toscane (Coriano x Quidam de Revel)produced the last double clear round, finishing third. Poland's Jaroslaw Skrzyczynski had the fastest time in the jump-off, but jumped one rail down and thus had to settle for fourth with Crazy Quick (Chacco-Blue x Quick Star). Eduardo Alvarez Aznar and Fidux completed the top five. "I have ridden this horse for nine years now, we have a great partnership. I am very happy with the win. I hope this successful weekend helps me to be on the Japanese Team at the Olympic Games in Rio," said Sugitani after his victory in Linz. CLICK HERE FOR ALL RESULTS
