The home riders dominated in the CSI3* Ommen Grand Prix yesterday. Four out of the top five riders were Dutch. Best of them all was the 19 year old Jesper Romp riding Balouska (Stakkato Gold x Pluspunkt), a horse that also was Jesper's partner at the European Championships for Young Riders in Arezzo earlier this summer. A German rider sneaked into second as Tim Rieskamp-Gödeking and Lauterman (Lauterbach x Liberty Life) finished off 0.13 seconds behind Romp in the jump-off. Third place went to Gerco Schröder on Cognac Champblanc (Clearway), Willem Greve ended fourth on Carambole (Cassini I x Concerto Ii) and Nathalie van der Mei was fifth on Africa (Guidam x Voltaire).
