Julien Epaillard victorious in 1* Grand Prix Oliva Nova

While most top riders are at work on "cold" indoor shows great Summer Tours like the one in Wellington Florida are well on its way. One of them is the Spanish MET at Oliva Nova where the CSI1 * Grand Prix in the Silver Tour was the highlight of the day. 1.40m high Grand Priz was won by none less then Julien Epaillard and the French bred Usual Suspect d'Auge (v. Jarnac). In a jump-off with 16 combinations the French rider stayed ahead of he German Marc Bettinger in 28.60 seconds. Bettinger and BWP bred Incroyable the Muse needed just a little more than 30 seconds to clear the course without penalties. The third place was also a French rider. Frederic Douvard rode the Belgian bred Hug Grande de Muze (v. Shindler de Muze) in 31 seconds around. The top five was completed by Tim Wilke with KWPNer Cooper from Great Britain and the Greek Ioli Mytilineou which GinTonic DB foutlooos sent round in 32.26 seconds. It was a double French victory at the end of the afternoon. While Epaillard claimed the Grand Prize is Nicolas Deseuzes won the CSI2 * Gold Tour over 1.45m in the other arena. In the "jump-off" Desauzes and Topaze Latour (v. Diamant de Semilly) won with a very nice round. the British Holly Smits and Lammy Beach (v. Beach Ball) claimed second place in front of Italian Francesco Turturiello.
