This week the worldcup riders gather in the French port city Bordeaux. As one of the last stops before the worldcup finals in Paris later this year many will battle strong for the points and victories this week. The first worldcup competition class was set at a heigh of 1.40m and in the end sounded the Marseillaise. Julien Gonin speeded to victory for his own crowd. Aboard the 15-year-old KWPN-gelding, Well Done (f. VDL Sheraton), Gonin jumped to glory in less that 63 seconds. The current world number two, Harrie Smolders followed as runner up. Aboard the Cassini II-son, Monaco he crossed the finish in 63.30 seconds, staying ahead of Germany's Marcus Ehning with Cornado NRW (f. Cornet Obolensky). The top five was completed by Daniel Deusser with Tobago Z (f. Tangelo v. Zuuthoeve) and Eduardo Alvarez Aznar with Rokfeller de Pleville Bois Mar (f. L'Arc de Triomphe) in a fourth and fifth place.   Click here for the results
