Yesterday the two weeks of the 2014 West Coast Classic show jumping tour at Thunderbird Show Park kicked off. In the High Junior Amateur Jumper, set at a height of 1m40, it was Lindsey Fletcher and William L who jumped to victory. The pair was followed by Katie Kraft (Corofelio) and Kimberley van Dongen aboard Orlando. The 1m40 Open Jumper competition was claimed by Gareth Graves (Babette). This horse-rider combination ended in front of Audra Fleck-Snijders (Rainland WH Luxury) and Karianne Boyce-Lockhart with Ferro DC. At noon it was the Country Saddlery Low Jr/Am Jumper course that was drawing all attention. Set at a height of 1m20 Maddy Riddle and Gala Pierreville rode an exciting jump off, setting the pass for the other combinations. Only Katie Kraft (Cobana LVS Z) and Verity Stow (Colgate) knew how to beat Riddle's time. The top five of this competition was completed by Mariola Slawinski (Lavos Z), ending with 1 time fault in the second round. Jordana Bannerman (Vieba) ended in the fifth place. The 1m20 Open Jumper it was for once a guy who ended on top of the ranking. Andrew More and Capireena set the fastest time. Shannon Haney (Natrolite) and Georgia Hunt (Kenzo) followed in a second and third position.
