Kent Farrington wins the 'Battle of the Nations'

The Battle of the Nations at the Longines Los Angeles Masters went to Kent Farrington on Blue Angel (Luidam x Ascendant) and Team USA. This was Farrington's second win for the weekend, and of course a very popular one among the home crowds. In the Battle of the Nations, the eight best USA athletes and the eight best non-USA athletes in the competition moved on from round one to the winning round - where Farrington lead the way for USA. Second place went to Egypt's Nayel Nassar, riding Lordan (Lordanos x Landor). 0.46 seconds separated the two riders in the winning round, with Farrigton picking up the top prize of 43 725 USD. Third place went to Belgium's Constant van Paesschen who was back in the saddle on Citizenguard Cadjanine Z (Canabis Z x Feinschnitt I). Photo : Kent Farrington and Willow - Mastersgrandslam.com
