Lamaze wins the Coca-Cola trophy in Barcelona

Canada’s Eric Lamaze won the Coca-Cola Trophy, the first competition of the CSIO Barcelona which opened the most important event in the history of the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona. Riding Artisan Farm’s Fine Lady 5, Lamaze made a clear round and was quickest in the competition judged by Table A and against the clock, overcoming Brazilian Pedro Veniss, with Amemoi O Sandor, and French rider Penélope Leprevost, riding Sultane Des Ibis. With an initial win for Canada this morning and qualification for Saturday’s Nations Cup Final, Canada certainly joined the Netherlands in delivering strong results in the first day of competition in Barcelona, Spain.
