Laura Renwick has got the victory in the young horses class with “Heliodor Hybris” (60,30 seconds). The second position has gone to the spanish Leonardo Medal García and Rey de Gozón (62,50 seconds) and the third one to the american Judge Quentin with Thais de Charon The class was sponsored by Oquendo and it was judged by a A scale with chronometer, elven obstacles of 1,30 metres for horses with 6 years old and 1,35 metres for horses with 7 years old. Twelve riders had completed the class without penalization and only 4 of them got less than 65 seconds. Renwick was enthusiastic with her victory “It was fantastic to start with a victory” tells the britain Laura Renwick. “ It was a fast class with few obstacles and everything has gone very well”. She is the 80 in the world ranking. Renwick has come to the CSIO Gijón 5* 2014 with four horses, Heliodor Hybris is the young one. About her objetives, she say that she is a competitive rider and she wants to have a good level for the Nations Cup and the Big Prize”. The riders who got the fourth and the fifth position were the portuguese Mario Wilson Ferdandes with Chiva Do Belmonte and the spanish Juan Antonio de Wit with Tati Lulu D`Aubigny.
